From Denver to Austin + Album Update.

May 12th, 2018 at 9:20pm

Woolgather has relocated back to Austin! I’m looking for musicians, bass and drums at the minimum, but open for other instruments. Reach me at casey AT if interested — or find us on Facebook or wherever else online (we’re everywhere; it shouldn’t be hard to find us!).

In regards to the “Between Dust & Starlight” EP — I’m not going to quote a date anymore because I’ve done that too much and been incorrect in my estimate(s). In short, when the financial hurdles have been cleared, it will be released. When you are self-funding your work in this business, it can be tough to meet deadlines, so all I can say with the utmost confidence is, with investment (which we do have again), the record will be released this year (2018). I’ve got a couple of tracks to lay in conclusion, which we’ve I’ll be completing in the coming week with our favorite Austin-based engineer at Boiler Room Studios. I promise, it’s coming! In the meantime, here’s a URL to a live acoustic version of one of the singles, “When I Find Love (Windrose)”: (you’ll need to copy/paste that into your web browser’s address bar).

I love you all — especially those who have continued supporting and believing in my work over the years despite the delays and missed deadlines — and I promise more is coming ahead, especially once I find the right musicians to help me carry it forward. Solo shows may be popping up in Austin, but I’m putting the set together now. Playing music is like a drug sometimes — You kind of have withdrawals from performing live when you haven’t in a while. I’ll be there soon, folks! Thanks for being so patient. Talk soon!

Yours truly,
