Where is Woolgather, & what are they doing?

October 12th, 2014 at 4:27pm

I’m glad you asked, ’cause that’s a fantastic question!

Since you last saw us on a Colorado stage, a lot has happened. Some unfortunate events have occurred, but that’s expected — it’s life, and it happens, However, some positive developments have also been in the works, so I’m going to briefly brush over some of this now.

We’ve recently had yet another band member, Jesse, leave the band, after just getting the wheels in motion in Colorado. Luckily, we’ve made some good friends and shaken the right hands, so we’re auditioning some new talent at the moment, though it does time time. We’ve also been in contact with one of Denver’s finest and most well-know producers, who will, in fact, be producing our next recording(s), which is a very, very exciting development indeed. Because of this fact, we’ve been pulling our new songs apart, piece by piece, and reshaping them into rich and beautiful ear-candy, for your listening pleasure. I know that earlier this year we guaranteed a new record sooner than later, but when the work is done (and done right), the new Woolgather that will surface will be like never heard before — and this, we promise.

In the meantime, press “Play” on the SoundCloud player to your right and hear some of the newest demos, high-quality live tracks, and teasers of some of the tunes we’ve been working on, and expect big news from us in the near-future.

A short and sweet mention of yours truly from the famous Colorado Music Buzz magazine!

by Tim Wenger

“Woolgather is a new transplant to our state, originally from Austin, Texas, who have quickly dived headfirst into the music scene. Their beguiling blend of progressive, hard, and alternative rock brings to mind System of a Down, Deftones, and Stone Temple Pilots, to name a few. Their sound is very appealing, and the talent of this three-piece is remarkable- you’d swear at least five people are behind an instrument putting this music together.

Very ambient, very rich, and full of musical texture, Woolgather is a soothing listen and puts forth a sound that begs the listener to check out a live show.”
